President Obama visits Holland JCS Battery Facility

Holland, MI, USA – August 11, 2011
HTTM and Johnson Controls-Saft executives along with dozens of other employees and local business people welcomed President Barack Obama to Holland Thursday. The President was here to tour the new JCS Meadowbrook lithium ion battery cell manufacturing facility, and to reinforce his support of new energy efficient technologies. During the tour of the JCS Holland facility, the President took a few extra moments to examine the deep drawn VL41M aluminum cell container made by HTTM LLC. HTTM is currently in production on these and other cell containers and cover assemblies for JCS and other global OEM high performance battery producers.

Senator Debbie Stabenow announces new fundining initiative for advanced energy storage.
U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow unveiled her Battery Innovation Act in Holland, MI at Trans-Matic on July 11, 2011. The initiative will help fund additional research, devlopment and manufacturing capability in the US. TransMatic and H&T are the parent companies of HTTM LLC.

Jeff Lauinger joins HTTM LLC as General Manager
HOLLAND, MI, USA – May 17, 2011
HTTM announced today that Jeff Lauinger has joined the company as its General Manager. Jeff will have responsibility for the overall performance and operation of the business and reports to the HTTM Board of Directors. He brings over 20 years of manufacturing experience to HTTM including various leadership positions in manufacturing engineering, operations, product development, and new business development with Parker Hannifin, Ford Motor Company, Visteon and Hayes-Lemmerz. Jeff most recently spent five years with Oracle as a solutions consultant, using his automotive background to configure and then sell manufacturing systems software to various clients. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and holds a master’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University. Jeff will be based at the HTTM Holland, MI location.

the launch of joint venture company HTTM LLC
PRESS RELEASE HOLLAND, MI, USA – February 14, 2011
H&T Battery Components of Marsberg, Germany and Trans-Matic Manufacturing Company Inc. of Holland, Michigan have joined forces to launch HTTM LLC, a joint venture limited liability company. Through the combined capabilities of its parent companies HTTM has entered the global advanced energy storage market with the development and production of metal battery container systems.
HTTM designs, develops and manufactures metal cell containers for lithium ion and other types of high performance batteries for hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicles as well as other communication, mobile and stationary power storage applications. Through H&T, HTTM was also one of only 30 successful recipients of the National Energy Technology Laboratory‘s major grant funding for Electric Drive Vehicle Battery and Component Manufacturing under the U.S. Department of Energy American Re-investment and Recovery Act.
HTTM provides confidential design and development, rapid prototyping, and ultimately, high volume global production for its customers. Products utilize various metals formed into a variety of cylindrical and prismatic cell containers in custom sizes. Proprietary computer simulation methodologies are used to achieve optimum component design and performance. With state of the art automation, HTTM also produces matching cover/lid assemblies with integrated, laser welded, swaged, and bonded terminations. HTTM container systems can also include integrally formed safety vent features that are engineered to provide a precise release of pressure when needed.
